Early Photographs

  •  Join me at 6PM MDT Tuesday for a chat on Early Photographs. Last Thursday Christie's in New York sold several daguerreotypes for more than $125,000 each. 2 weeks ago I bought a daguerreotype at the Brass Armadillo in Denver that a New York house values at $2-3,000. Yet you can find tintypes for sale at $3 each, dags for $25, and albums full of early photos can sell for not much more than $100. What are the differences? How do you know what an early photo is worth? Join me Tuesday as we discuss what makes a photograph collectible (& valuable). See you then, Gary.
