    • While working to solve a listing problem with the iAntique Lister App, I found several security concerns with the classifieds system that required updates to solve.

The updates went well, and fixed the security concerns, however it didn't have any affect on the listing app problem.

Along with the new updates, I've implemented a slightly modified theme ( a new look ) to the classifieds area.

There is still work needed for the color scheme, but I think I like how the layout now looks.

    • As you know, we do not charge for the ability to list classifieds on our system.

Our Terms & Conditions require items listed to be in the antiques / collectibles arena.

After recent discussions, we have tightened the account creation procedure to exclude the ability for new members to post classifieds immediately.

We will contact each new member via email to confirm they are an intentional user and not a spammer.

One of the things we've noticed from other classifieds sites, is the amount of spam that creeps in.

    • We have completed the initial version of the mobile app and have submitted it to the Apple store for review.  The Android version will be completed shortly.

This inital release will contain the ability to quickly create a new classifieds ad on the iAntique.com Marketplace.

There is also a function to delete existing listings, however, I'm not very satisifed with how it works.  Currently, there's no search feature to locate the one you would like to delete.  So, if you only have a few lisitings, it's not tough to find the one to delete.  Maybe we can improve on this during a future release.

During the submission of a new listings, there are two fields that require manual input:  (1) Mapping Address (2) Location Address.  This information is not pulled from your account on the Markeplace, so you'll need to enter them manually.  But, after you enter them once on the app, it will remember it for the next time.

I want to put together a roadmap for future improvements and services.

      Your input is always welcome.

    • We've been quietly working on building a mobile listing tool for the iAntique classieds.

With so much of the world revolving around mobile devices, this seems like the logical progression for our system.

      Our goals for mobile listing:

      1.  Easy

      2.  Quick

      Watch for more info soon.

We hope to have the first version available very quickly (maybe next week).

Here's what the sign-in page looks like:

    • Thanks, Dan, for streamlining the registration process. Gary

    • During the registration process ( or in your My Account Area ), you will find areas to enter common text that you might want to list in every classified that you list.

This can be used for entering info about your business that you don't want to retype for every listing.

Check it out and let us know if you have any questions.

    • Turned on a new feature where classifieds sellers that have a Storefront account will have their LOGO from their Storefront page included in their listing.

It will appear below the description.

    • When we first opened the classifieds section, we tied to the registration together with your iAntique.com username.  This functioned fairly well, with only a few problems reported.

As our user-base continues to grow (we're now over 6,000 users), we work to strengthen the overall security of our system.  We have severed the ties between the user login system to the classifieds system.

Now, when you want to list or modify an item, you'll need to log in to the classifieds system with your username and password.  If you don't know what those are, just click the Forgot Password link on the classified's login page.  You'll receive an email with all your details in a matter of seconds.

Once logged in, you can adjust your password as needed.

As always, we're happy to help with any problems.  Click the CONTACT link at the bottom of this page or on the classifieds pages.
