Tyrone, Holy Toledo. Where did you find this one? This is Liberace glam! There has to be a story here. It takes Hollywood Regency to a whole new level. Try to find any kind of mark, and tell us what you know about it. Thanks. Gary

Gary, he brought this item into the mall the other day looking for info.  It looks even better in person!

      Here's the pic we took:

      Wow what an amazing table!

What you have is abalone shell, sand and alabaster slabs suspended in resin. Gold metal filigree edging, and a pressed glass lamp base. Hollywood Regency at it's finest! Arturo Pani made some similar tables, however without all the embellishment. I have never seen one this over the top. I would personally date this to the 1950s or 60s.

I am looking to find the value on this 50's-60's Hollywood Regency table.  So what is something like this worth?

      ??? $$$$ ???

Stephanie, Obviously this table would sell for a high price in West Hollywood, but I guess that quite a few LA people come to Phoenix from time to time, and they would expect a bargain. If you had this table for sale at the Brass in Denver, what would you price it at? Thanks. Gary

Hmmm... well let's see. If I were to sell the abalone table I have (a small end table shown in picture below), I would price it at about 200.00. So considering this is a LARGE version, AND has a lamp base, and all that filigree.... I personally would price it at 400-500. But that's just me. As you mentioned, in an online market or in LA or New York, it could go for much higher. It's also a hard sell... it will take a very specific person to want to own a table like that!
