Canadian Antiques

  • In this week's show we seek out antiques and collectibles that were "Made in Canada." I had never even thought of this as an interesting topic until I acquired a gorgeous dining table & chairs that were handmade in Quebec, c. 1925. Just shows that it sometimes serves to get out of your old ways of thinking and recognize that not all non-U.S. antiques are European, Asian, or Mexican! I was really surprised at the variety of things made in Canada--some by individual Canadians, some by Canadian manufacturers, and some by U.S. companies with plants in Canada. The key words will give you some clues, but not everything we found has a clue! Please tune in to watch this week's show.
