The Look of the Late Victorian Era (1880-1900)

  • Tonight we'll compare styles across categories: Mount Washington glass, Dresden porcelain, stained glass windows, factory made oak furniture, celluloid cabinet card albums, Chinese porcelain + many other examples--the only criterion is that items must have been made between 1880 and 1900, the great final period of Victorian design. We'll fill my American oak china cabinet, c. 1890, with an array of beautiful things contemporary to it & to each other, then decide whether we like it or not. Hope you can join the chat at the usual time, Tuesday at 5PM PDT, 6PM MDT, 7PM CDT, 8PM EDT. Gary
