Franciscan Ware Pottery - Antiques with Gary Stover

There's a great collection of Franciscan Ware in the Mall, and this week's program features examples in 5 different patterns: Desert Rose, Apple, Ivy, October, and Cafe Royal. We'll discuss dating, the marks, values, rare pieces, and several of the designers. The company was Gladding, McBean, and it's plant was in Glendale, CA for decades, before Wedgwood bought them out, and now a couple of patterns are still produced in China. It's an iconic American brand, and I hope you find the story interesting.
